OUR PACKAGING STORY

When we were doing our market research, we went to the supermarkets and noticed that the spices there were offered in small packets or jars and the labels on these spices were tiny and tried to fit too much which made it difficult for customers to choose what they want.

We wanted to create a unique label that made it easy for our customers to select what they want.


We accomplished this in 4 ways.


1. We made the product name huge and our brand name tiny and kept the labels minimalistic.
2. We numbered our products so that our customers can decide they want number 84, instead of searching for Chilli Flakes for example.
3. We coloured our labels based on category.
E.g. red for chillies, yellow for turmeric, orange for cinnamon.


We decided to provide our spices in slightly larger glass jars as we noticed a marked trend of customers wanting to cook more with a variety of spices.


We also bet on our higher quality spice and glass packaging to retain the quality of spices for longer.

  1. 1 NUMBER

    I tried to memorise the product name for my favorite spice, but it was just too cuminsome! The next time you go shopping, write down our unique product number on your shopping list and get the right spice from the grocery store for your next meal.

  2. 2 COLOR

    Variety is the spice of life! We offer a huge variety of spices across several product categories for you. Each category of spices we offer has a different color on the label.
    E.g. Chilli is RED, Herb is GREEN, Pepper is BLACK.

  3. 3 NAME

    Our product name POPS OUT of the packaging LIKE THIS! We've delibaratrely kept the name minimal yet bold and in big letters so even the not so keen-eyed can spot what they want super-fast.

  4. 4 LINES

    Curry up and get in LINE for some spices! Do you like your spices WHOLE ⚌ , RUBBED === , or GROUND ===== ? The lines on our packaging represent the form of the product so you can pick what you really want in your upcoming dish.
